Put this one in early before the line goes to -3.5, gotta love USC in this game. They have won the last 7 meetings vs. Cal, and are an impressive 5-2 ATS in those game. With that said, don’t expect to see the same Cal team that looked rattled last Thursday at Oregon, the Golden Bears have a way of playing pretty good on their home-turf. In fact, PSP often likes to take Cal when they are playing in Berkley vs. lesser competition, however THIS IS NOT THE CASE TONIGHT!!!
Cal will score some points, but the Bears will not be able to keep up with the high-powered offense of USC. They have one of the Top 5 QBs in the land in Matt Barkley, who is establishing a lethal one two punch with Wide Out Robert Woods. USC will definitely be throwing the ball down field vs. the weak Cal Secondary who will probably be without starting CB Marc Anthony, who will likely be replaced with a True Freshman. Just some stops from the average USC Defense will be all we need in this one!!!
Cal has a decent QB to WR combination with brothers… Zach Maynard and Keenan Allen. At first instinct we kind of liked Over 55, but once the public pounded it and it shot up to 58.5, we decided to just stick with USC -3. *Not to mention we seen this stat - Under is 6-1 in last 7 USC vs. Cal meetings.
